Some of the sisters gathered outside the temple on Jan 13, 2015.

Look who came to the Nakano ward Christmas party!

We welcomed this wonderful senior couple to the mission on November 10, 2014.
We wish we had ten more couples just like them!

New Years Conferences

Ten Kanto area zones met together on January 2, 2015.
The Nagaoka Zone, Jan 9, 2015
The Niigata Zone, Jan 9, 2015

The whole mission started folding origami cranes in October.  At our New Years Conferences, we had enough for each of the 12 zones to create a "senbazuru" (one thousand cranes) to give to someone who needs a gift of love and encouragement.

An old bamboo forest.
Lovely kimonos.

Gardens surrounding a temple.

The Miracle Tree in 2014.  The gifts and cranes represent miracles we have seen as a mission this Christmas season.

These fine missionaries returned November 7, 2014.  This elder arrived alone 2 years ago, but returned with 8 sisters!

These 28 returned on December 19, 2014.  This is the largest group we have had return. The wave is receding now, sadly.

Eight great new missionaries who arrived on Nov 4, 2014
Here they are with their trainers.
This sister was delayed, but finally arrived later and was lucky enough to have 2 trainers!
We welcomed 19 new missionaries on Dec 16th, 2014.
No, this is not a zone conference!  These are the new missionaries with their trainers. :)

Visit to Meiji Shrine

On October 30, 2014 we had the privilege to visit the beautiful Meiji Shrine in Tokyo as a Mission Leadership Council.  We were graciously hosted by a friend of ours who is a shinto priest there.
